Our
February guest speaker, CCW member David Rasch,
touched several audience nerves as he examined the way writers put off
doing what they profess to love doing: Writing! Using humor, insight,
and experience, David helped members and guests shine new light on what
it is that's keeping them from writing at their most productive level.
Counterproductive attitudes and behaviors were demystified and, judging
from the energized response of those in attendance, David's observations
and suggestions hit home. Thank you, David, for giving CCW's
members and guests some solid tools to help solve a writer's most vexing
problem. |

Past
branch Vice President, Martin Dodd, helps greet members and guests. Thanks
to Martin's efforts in helping contact each member regarding our change of
venue, our February meeting broke attendance records at 56.

The
ball room at Casa Munras accommodated the crowd nicely. The room setup
made socializing easy and the mood of the evening was one of fellowship
and reunion. Meal service bogged down a bit due to the unexpected number
of members and guests who ordered. These issues were addressed with the
hotel by Program Chair Ixchel Leigh. As a result, meal ordering, serving,
and payment will be much smoother next month and will not interrupt the
program or keep us beyond our normal 8pm closing. Thank you to the members
and guests who enjoyed the Esteban kitchen's food. Your doing so helps us keep this very
enjoyable venue available at no cost. |
